Enjoy evening encounters with wildlife!

Choose from a variety of 2-hour Twilight Programs, all including a guided Zoo tour and up-close animal experiences. Twilight Programs are great for family outings, friend groups, scout troops, homeschool co-ops, church groups, 4-H groups, sports teams, Greek life and more!


Current programs include:

  • Zookeeper for the Evening
    • In this kid-friendly program, you become part of the Zoo team and visit behind-the-scenes areas!
  • Wildlife Wellness: Twilight Edition
    • Teenagers can explore the world of animal care with a hands-on learning lab, a tour of our animal hospital and special opportunities to observe nocturnal animals!
  • Creatures of the Night: A Citizen Science Safari
    • Become a real-world scientist studying and collecting data that helps conserve local species. Plus, learn to stay engaged with projects you can complete at home!

Program requirements:

  • Must register two weeks in advance at the button above
  • Programs require at least 10 participants and have a maximum of 40 participants
  • Participants must be at least 5 years old
  • One adult chaperone is required for every 10 kids
  • Different workshops are offered during select seasons
  • Programs are $30 per person and include after-hours Zoo admission and the 2-hour Twilight Program
