Conservation Committee Speaker Series

Wildlife rehab: what we do and how you can help!

In this Conservation Committee meeting, open to both Zoo staff and the public, zoo keeper Teagan Murphy will discuss our Wildlife Rehabilitation Department and the impact it has on local animals and ecosystems. In 2023 alone, the Chattanooga Zoo took in 1,169 injured animals to care for, rehabilitate, and release or transfer them. The meeting will also cover best practices in assisting injured animals in the wild and will feature presentations from other local rehabbers.

This meeting is free to attend and is open to the public. Meeting attendees should NOT arrive at the Zoo front gate. Instead, please come to the back Zoo entrance by entering Warner Park at 1100 McCallie Ave, driving past the stadium and tennis courts, and taking a right into the back Zoo parking lot.
