Member Appreciation Night

Calling all Zoo members! Come join us for an after-hours Zoo event in which we recognize your support of the Chattanooga Zoo.  Member Appreciation Night will be a free night of fun for the whole family! Cub Crawl 1K

June 1st, 8 - 9 am

Join all your animal friends at the Chattanooga Zoo for the first annual Cub Crawl 1K Fun Run and Walk.  This event is great for people of all ages and athletic abilities.  Watch the animals as they first wake up and get some exercise at the same time.  Fun for the whole family!  Be sure to dress as your favorite animal, so you can really Run Wild! June Jubilee

June 1st – June 30th, various times

School's out for summer and the Chattanooga Zoo is celebrating!  Join us for this year's June Jubilee as we kick off the summer with a bang.  Beginning on June 1st, the Zoo will be hosting two or more special activities for Zoo guests every day for the entire month.   Ever wanted to experience farm life without leaving the city?  Or wondered what Zookeepers talk about during lunch?  Maybe you would like to throw your favorite zoo animal a birthday party or try and discover hidden treasures on a scavenger hunt with Dora the Explorer.  Whatever your interests, the Zoo has something for you during this jubilant month of June.  All activities are free with admission.  Be sure to check our Facebook and calendar for a detailed schedule of activities. 


Run Wild 5K

June 1st, 7:30 - 10:00 am

Join us for the most fun road race of the season, the Run Wild race benefiting the Chattanooga Zoo.  Thrive Fitness Studio has partnered with the Chattanooga Zoo for the inaugural Run Wild 5K.  Race logistics will be managed and coordinated by the Chattanooga Track Club.  The race will begin at the Zoo and run through the scenic streets of Chattanooga and Warner Park.  Race participants will finish the race inside the Zoo where a health expo, awards ceremony, snacks and live music await. Dreamnight

June 7th, 5:30 - 8:30 pm

The Chattanooga Zoo partners with the City of Chattanooga's Department of Therapeutic Recreation to host a special event for children with special needs and their families sponsored by Unum.  Attendees can visit with Zoo animals after hours while enjoying games, music, food, inflatables and more!  Admission is free but reservations are required.  To RSVP, please call the Zoo Gift Shop at 423.697.1319.  Don't miss this wonderful summer evening of fun for a truly special cause.  


Go Banana's Day

June 15th, 10 am – 2 pm

Go Bananas with a day dedicated to the Chattanooga Zoo's wonderful primate population! The celebration includes a day of positively primate family fun, crafts, games, and of course banana Moonpie cake to celebrate. Stay tuned for more details as continue to add to the fun. Free with admission.


Father's Day at the Zoo

Sunday June 16th, All Day

Come celebrate Father’s day with us at the Chattanooga Zoo.  All Dads receive FREE admission when accompanied by their family.  Treat your Dad to something wild this year.  Select gift shop merchandise 10% off all day.  


Q n’ Brew at the Zoo

July 27th, 5:30 – 8:30 pm

Looking for something fun and different to do during this hot summer heat? Then look no further as you are invited to join the Chattanooga Zoo at our second annual BBQ tasting and contest. Chattanoogans old and young alike can come and taste the best BBQ the city has to offer while also enjoying the Zoo. Tasty beer and a great bluegrass band will be around to keep folks rocking. Tickets are $10 per person in advance and $20 at the door. Kids 12 and under tickets are $5 in advance and $10 at the door.  Kids 3 and under are free. 


Grandparents Day

Sunday, September 8th, All Day

Grandparents, grab your family and head to the Chattanooga Zoo for a fun filled day celebrating you! The Zoo will be celebrating all grandparents on September 8th. For Grandparents day come and visit our Zoo residents, make your grandparents something special at our activity stations, and make wonderful memories to last a life time. All grandparents receive FREE admission. Also, 10% off all purchases in the Gift Shop all day long.


Patriot Day

September 11th, All Day

This is a day in which the Zoo honors all of our local heroes (past and present) by granting free admission to those who have served plus 3 additional family members. Local firefighters, policemen, EMS and military folks with proof of ID or veterans with proof of veteran status are eligible. Help us honor those who give their lives to serve our community through a signature sponsorship of this poignant day.


Banana Ball

October 12th, 6:30 – 11 pm

Banana Ball is the single largest fundraiser that contributes to the Zoo’s capital improvements. This year’s special guest will be Jeff Corwin. Join us for an evening that includes up close animal encounters, nighttime tours, a special presentation by Jeff Corwin, food, music, dancing, cigar bar and more! This is a 21 years and older event and will be held rain or shine. Get your ticket before October 1st and enjoy our early-bird rate of $85 per person or upgrade your ticket to a Backstage Pass with Jeff for only $150!  


Boo in the Zoo

October 18, 19, 25, 26th, 5:30-8:30pm

Join us for the most Spooktacular event of the season! Our annual Boo in the Zoo celebration will have some of your most loveable cartoon characters, trick-or-treat stations, costume contests, pony rides, games, inflatables, and much more! This non-scary Halloween event is sure to have the whole family talking for years to come. Admission:$8.95 for adults, $5.95 (ages 3-12) and under 3 is free. Members receive half off ticket prices. TIckets may be purchased in advance online or at the Zoo Gift Shop.


Holiday Lights

December 6, 7, 13, 14th, 5:30-8pm

See the Chattanooga Zoo transformed into a magical wonderland! Visit the animals and watch them open their Christmas presents. Get your picture taken with Santa Clause and enjoy fun holiday games and crafts. Admission: $8.95 for adults, $5.95 (ages 3-12) and under 3 are free. Annual Holiday Lights signify the holiday season at the Chattanooga Zoo. Members receive half off ticket prices. Tickets may be purchased in advance at the Zoo Gift Shop.
