Zoo Camp
The Chattanooga Zoo is proud to present its 2012 Summer Camps! For ages 3 to 14, these week-long camps are designed to engage and excite the animal enthusiast in your family. Be sure to register early. Space is limited and sessions fill quickly. Registration begins February 8th for Zoo Members and March 1st for non-members.







Member Registration: Begins Wednesday, February 8 at 9:00am
Non-Member Registration: Begins Thursday, March 1 at 9:00am


Registration for Zoo Members opens February 8th. Zoo Members recieve priority registration until March 1 when registration opens to the public. Please register online. AGES 3-4

Meet from 9:00am - 12:00pm

Cost: $75.00 for Members
$90.00 for Non-Members

This age group will enjoy learning the differences between birds, mammals, and reptiles. Campers enjoy hands-on encounters with Zoo’s education animals, along with a daily story time, sing-along, and tour of the Zoo

ZOOABILITY

ZooAbility is specifically designed for children with special needs. Campers enjoy a great week of fun animal encounters, special activities, and fields trips. To register for Camp Zooability, please call (423)697-1345

Available Dates: June 11-15th (ages 13-21), July 9th-13th (ages 6-12), July 30th - August 3rd (ages 22 and up)

AGES 5-6

Meet from 9:00am - 2:00pm

Cost: $100.00 for Members
$120.00 for Non-Members

This group enjoys behind-the-scenes animal encounters and experiences a short lesson on caring for the Zoo’s animals. Campers also play age-appropriate games in a daily, outdoor activity period. Children also have a blast feeding the animals, as well as daily “hands-on” encounters with our education animals. A daily story time is also included.

Available Dates: June 4-8, June 11-15, June 18-22, July 9-13, July 16-20, July 23-27

Overnights:

AGES 7-8

Meet from 9:00am - 2:00pm

Cost: $120.00 for Members
$145.00 for Non-Members

This group enjoys behind-the-scenes animal encounters and experiences a short lesson on caring for the Zoo’s animals. Campers also play age-appropriate games in a daily, outdoor activity period. Children also have a blast feeding the animals, as well as daily “hands-on” encounters with our education animals. A daily story time is also included.

This group learns what it is like to be a zookeeper by helping to clean and feed certain groups of animals daily. Campers also enjoy outdoor games and a field trip on Friday. An overnight zoo experience is also included.

AGES 12-14

Meet from 9:00am - 2:00pm

Cost: $100.00 for Members
$125.00 for Non-Members

This camp prepares children to be volunteers at the Chattanooga Zoo. Campers learn to clean, feed, and care for a portion of the Zoo’s animals every day. Other volunteer skills are taught such as landscaping and interpretive skills. This group still has fun with games, crafts, and a fields trip. An overnight zoo experience is also included.
