Have you ever wondered what it’s like to spend the night at the Zoo? Come “Snooze in the Zoo” and experience the exciting sights and sounds of the Zoo after dark!

On your adventure you’ll enjoy a guided tour of the zoo, fun hands-on educational activities, and special animal encounters.

Available Programs
  • Naturally Nocturnal

    Ever wondered what it is like to stay up all night and sleep during the day? Being nocturnal requires animals to have some unique adaptations. Come learn how bats, owls and other animals survive at night while seeing the zoo in the dark!

  • Calls and Croaks

    From peacocks to chimpanzees, animals communicate in a variety of ways! Come spend the night at the zoo and discover all of the techniques animals use to interact with one other. After a zoo snooze, I bet you will be able to recognize animals communicating all around!

  • Chain Reaction

    We all have to eat! Snooze at the zoo and get the chance to explore food webs and how animals are connected. From the bottom to the top of the chain, you’ll learn all about the different types of “vores” that are out there!

  • The Scoop on Poop

    It’s true, everybody poops! Can you identity different types of scat? Come get the real scoop on poop while sleeping over at the zoo. You should be an expert on scat and tracks after a fun night of seeing and hearing animals in the dark.

Requirements
  • 1 chaperone per 10 children is required.
  • Booking an overnight at the zoo requires a $250 initial deposit toward your final balance.
  • A maximum of 80 and a minimum of 20 participants is required for a zoo overnight.
  • If your group is less than 20 people the difference must be paid.
Additional Information

You are allowed 1 free chaperone per every every 10 children (under the age of 18).

Deposits must be mailed or paid within one week of registration being submitted to hold your reservation. The remaining balance must be paid one week prior to your scheduled overnight.

Overnights begin at 6:30 p.m. and end at 9:00 a.m. the next morning. We will open the gate for you to come in and start setting up at 6:00 p.m.

Family Overnights

Bring your family to join in the fun with our new themed overnights, just for families! You will get to experience the zoo at night, along with an educational program and a special animal encounter.

Family overnight groups can be any size. However, there must be a minimum of 15 total participants for the overnight to take place. You will be notified 1 week prior to your scheduled program if there is a cancellation.
