Sand cats live in three distinct regions of the world: Africa's Sahara desert, which stretches through Algeria, Niger and Morocco; throughout the Arabian peninsula; and in parts of central Asia including Turkmenistan, Iran, Pakistan and Afghanistan.
Rock Hyrax
Native to Africa, the Arabian Peninsula, and Lebanon. Habitat includes boulders, rock formations, and little nooks on sheer cliffs.
Meerkats
Native to southern Africa. Habitat includes deserts and grasslands.
Rhinoceros Iguana
Native to tropical Caribbean islands of Hispaniola, Haiti & Dominican Republic. Habitat includes on the ground in dry, rocky environments unlike a lot of other iguanas which tend to prefer trees and forests.
Komodo Dragon
Native to five Indonesian islands. Habitat includes dry open grassland, savanna and tropical forest at low elevations.
